When a photographer makes a “quick” stop at the local Buccee’s–which houses some of the best restrooms, snack-foods and Texas themed curios around–and is presented with a menagerie of colorful metal lawn artwork what is she supposed to do?  Out comes the mobile phone camera and thus begins the family eye rolls and sighs of, “there she goes again.” 

The artists imagination that conjured and melded these figurines is to be commended; although the prices are steeper than I would have liked.  Passerbys found me odd no doubt while snapping these pics, but as any photographer will happily admit: who cares, it’s all about those few gleeful moments of capturing images that speak to the person. These whimsical characters said to me, “aren’t we adorable; if you’re not going to buy, then at least acknowledge me!”
